Celebrating Black History

Black History Week

Black History is celebrated every October as celebration of the history and achievements of Black people in the UK and around the world. Although Black History is celebrated in October, our aim is incorporate Black history across the whole curriculum all year round.

The theme for this year’s Black History Week has been ‘Proud To Be’. Teachers at Eastbury planned exciting lessons and activities from Nursery to Year 6. The children enjoyed learning about inspirational people in black history and sharing the things they are proud of.
